Permissions: Magic Sense

So, Ellie's from a world where everyone kind of naturally emanates magic, and is trained specifically in picking up emanations of darkness-based magic in particular. So, with that in mind, I would like to present... A permissions post! Since the rules of magic obviously differ from world to world, I'll add a few key clarifications here:

1: All magic she detects is mostly in terms of the six elements of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, and Darkness.
2: Unless you're inherently magical, it's doubtful you're emanating magic all the time, so this likely only picks up active casting or something that has an active spell working on it.

Another key point is that this isn't active magical sense, but passive, so most forms of magic concealment will probably still work.

Just don't try the concealment method of "hide the dark magic by burying it in dark magic", that never works.

Is the character magical: Ryoga's a Marital artist that channels a lot of Ki, so tenative yes.
Element: given his fighting style and personality - I'd say he'll mainly read as Earth or Fire and that's what comes out when he uses Ki-based attacks.
HOWEVER, as P-chan given the nature of the curse, he's just low-key pinging water the entire time until he turns back.

...Soul is hard to say, since it basically depends on the effect. Anything that affects the mind is classed as "Dark", while other soul stuff generally ends up slotted under Light (referred to as Ether in canon).

It might be both in that case, though Nora doesn't use a ton of soul spells so it's not as big a deal. For an idea of how it works (or rather the random crap that gets shoved under there), barriers, unsealing true demon forms and future-reading all fall under soul magic.

If it suits you, Ellie can notice that there's constantly a tiny bit of cantus leaking even when Saki isn't using it. It's much stronger when actually in use.
